The Convent of the Pater Noster was built over the site where Jesus taught His disciples the Lord's Prayer.
The walls are decorated with 111 ceramic tiles, each one inscribed with the Lord's Prayer in a different language. Father Pierbattista, O.F.M., Father Eugenio Alliata, O.F.M. and Father Stefano De Luca, O.F.M., from the Custody of the Holy Land in Jerusalem, have supplied all of them to Christus Rex.
We are very grateful to them and to other major contributors, such as: Harri Mürk, Andrea De Vecchi, John C. Sacoolidge, Jeffrey L. Dyer, Harold Lush, Sergio Franzese, Joseph Pashka, Dr. David G. Landsnes, MD, Wolfgang Kuhl, Dr. Xavier F. Conde, PhD, Carmine Colacino, Father Ervino Martinuz, Tom Onditi. We are equally grateful to the people who have sent us one or several linguistic versions of the Lord's Prayer or Hail Mary; credits are acknowledged with each individual prayer.
Special thanks to Dr. David G. Landsnes, MD and to Father Johann Roten for sharing with us their comprehensive collections of Hail Mary prayers.
Special thanks to Wolfgang Kuhl for sharing with us his extraordinary Bible collection.
